Project Manager Construction - GTA

Our client is seeking a Project Manager, construction (heavy civil) in the Greater Toronto Area. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for delivering technically challenging projects utilizing various types of construction contracts and agreements. They will oversee the project team and all associated processes, encompassing initiation, planning, organization, management, monitoring, control, and closure of heavy civil construction projects. 


Responsibilities: 


  • Plan and execute projects, including scope, estimation, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, and forecasting. 
  • Apply construction best practices. 
  • Manage project resources and supervise the project team. 
  • Set project objectives and goals and manage schedules and budgets. 
  • Prepare, finalize, and manage contract agreements. 
  • Administer agreements and manage scope throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders. 
  • Manage billings, day-to-day activities, and site methodologies. 
  • Oversee progress reporting and project meetings. 
  • Manage risk, problem-solving, and project closure. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a positive company image. 


Qualifications:


  • Effective leadership, communication, initiative, and proactive skills. 
  • Excellent technical skills for interpreting construction methods, technologies, contracts, and technical drawings. 
  • 5-10 years of relevant progressive construction management experience. 
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time-management skills. 
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Products, MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam/Adobe.
