Interface Management Coordinator

We're seeking an Interface Management Coordinator (RSSOM) to join our clients' team, based in Toronto, ON. As part of the Delivery Partner Integrated Project Team supporting the Ontario Line subway project the Interface Management Coordinator Interface Lead, the successful candidate will take on the responsibility of coordinating all aspects related to interface management with the systemwide contractor (RSSOM) and adjacent contracts. Their primary focus will be on ensuring early identification and timely exchange of interface information between multiple parties, including PPP Contractors, TOC Contractors, and EAW Contractors.

In this role, the Interface Management Coordinator will oversee the design build, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure and rail systems across 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment. This involves managing contracts with two key PPP Contractors, multiple advanced early works (EAW) packages Contractors, and two large Progressive Design Build Contracts. As part of the team, the chosen candidate will contribute to managing both the program works and individual construction projects.


This is a full-time permanent position, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in championing diversity and inclusion within the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Assisting the Integration Manager in handling interface-related issues within the specified Segment, coordinating between Project Company, Technical Advisors, Customer, and other vendors across all projects.
  • Supporting the facilitation of interface meetings and governance calendar, including tracking milestone dates for relevant meetings.
  • Collecting and evaluating information to ensure agreed exchanges of information and achievement of schedules.
  • Assisting in developing mitigation strategies or incentives to reduce risks associated with utility and construction interfaces.
  • Providing advice on contract management and interface issues in collaboration with the project team.
  • Reviewing project schedules to incorporate interface requirements for timely deliverables across the program.
  • Working with the segment team to align the IDR process, constructability, and commissioning processes.
  • Attending weekly DIWG work task sessions and coordinating with CIWG (Schedule 39).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a minimum of 10 years' experience in the rail industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Proven track record in Interface Management on major multidisciplinary rail projects.
  • Strong technical writing, data management, verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
  • Thorough understanding of rail engineering procedures, principles, and concepts.
  • Experience collaborating with teams and stakeholders in developing and delivering large infrastructure projects, with the ability to communicate across technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency in planning and executing high-value, multi-faceted lump-sum turnkey civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications.
